As you many of you already know life simply inspires me. Living in LA can be incredible at the same time time while becoming an entrepreneur in the fitness/ wellness industry it can be taxing, having to re-center myself daily while going back to nature’s source for daily Inspo. From colors to textures, traveling, fitness and natural remedies. I love having a cabinet full of yummy go to’s in my kitchen that reminds me of our roots, literally lol. Having natural products you can throw on just about anything to spice things up.

Being in my 30’s Im always trying to take the best care of myself and starting within. Life as a personal trainer and blogger can be really physically demanding. From really early mornings to engaging my mind and body in my work. The backend which not many see is another beast. From programming, studying, creating and training it’s a mental game and being alert and focused can really dictate my success.

Turmeric has scientifically proven health benefits. From preventing Alzheimer’s and Cancer. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis. Maca powder known to boost and improve energy while reducing blood pressure and fighting free radicals. Figs which are good source of fibre and calcium while also helps with lowering cholesterol and blood sugar levels and blueberries being the king of antioxidant helps protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Cacao Nibs not only add’s that delicious chocolaty taste and crunchy texture but again packed with antioxidants, magnesium and. natural source that act’s as a mood enhancer. Of course we can’t forget Açaí Berries another source of antioxidants used the base. I used Sambazon Acai frozen individual packets ready to blend with your favorite fruits and veggies.

Next time you’re at the supermarket make sure to stock up on healthy go to’s that you can use interchangeably in your recipes. It’s always fun to discover new things while getting all the benefits!

Dragon Fruit- Superfood Spotlight

With it’s bold bright pink color and being a mix of flavor between a kiwi and pear what’s not to love about a dragon Fruit smoothie bowl?! Im always looking for ways to brighten up my day’s. Working long hours, normally a 16 hour day and training both my clients and self food is my fuel! Packed with antioxidants , fibre and tons of vitamins Dragon Fruit is similar to Acai. You can always add protein to the mix. I like adding isolated whey. It’s refined and has more of the fats and lactose carbs removed and has a higher protein percentage which is absorbed more quickly!

Here’s what you”ll need;

  1. 1 frozen pack of Pitaya Plus organic dragon fruit

  2. 1/2 frozen banana

  3. 1 cup almond milk (add more for desired consistency) Watching those calories? Substitute with water.

  4. Ice

  5. 1 scoop isolated whey protein powder

Now blend everything together!

Here’s the fun part, TOPPINGS!!

  • Organic hemp seeds

  • Organic blackberries

  • Organic gogi berries

  • Organic almond butter

Premium gym memberships are they worth it?

   Hey there! I wanted to talk to you about "premium gym memberships" and are they really worth that extra expense. I keep hearing allot of different feedback from friends. Some feel you can get the same workout from gym's like LA Fitness 24 hours etc instead of spending that extra bit at gym's like Equinox. Here's what I think. You need to do what makes YOU feel great. And If that means spending extra money on a premium gym membership then do it! Whatever gets you excited and motivated to workout! We all spend money daily on silly things like coffee, eating and drinking out, among many other things. Fitness and health is so important for your mind, body and soul. Of course it's really important to have a balance in life, and you know best what's for your budget. I believe your relationship with everything first starts with you. Make your health first priority, the rest will follow. I recently switched gyms and now train at Equinox. The facility  offers a wide range of classes and amenities. It's clean and  cosmetically appealing. There's also lots of friendly staff ready to help you out. And who doesn't like being greated by there first name ;)
